Aired October 28th and January 27th on Own Your Money with Jeffrey A. Forrest
My wife and I curled up on the sofa a few weeks bank and watched (again) The Notebook. Do you remember how they took off to the hereafter in the movie? It was touching, tugging and tearful to watch. Do you really think that your parents (or you, for that matter) can reach the end of your life and simply “wish it so” and go peacefully in your sleep? Nicholas Sparks is one talented writer, but in my 37 years as an “estate planner”, I’ve never seen yet a couple get out like that!!
Next Tuesday, I’ll be reviewing the SIX CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS that you should have with your parents or with your spouse. If you do these, then you’ll be properly prepared, positioned and postured for a smoother transition. For a moment, think about someone who lost a loved one….a parent…..a spouse….a brother……a sister….how were the after effects? This is one time when it pays to be a bit OCD or anal retentive and to make the appropriate plans and have the appropriate conversations.
TUNE IN HERE FOR INSTANT LISTENING NOW
You’ll be personally challenged to TAKE ACTION based on what you hear next Tuesday, so a warning: DON’T TUNE IN, unless you desire to be moved, inspired and perhaps even coerced into TAKING CARE of your own conversations.
