Aired 21st on Ask Sara with Sara Troy
The use of divergent means different as in they hold widely divergent views is considered by some people to be incorrect.
I recently saw a movie called Divergent a story takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic version of Chicago where people are divided into distinct factions based on human virtues. Beatrice Prior is warned that she is Divergent and thus will never fit into any one of the factions and soon learns that a sinister plot is brewing in her seemingly perfect society.
This got me thinking, are we as a society living in a linear world were we gladly except a distinct faction or are we all seeking a world of Divergencey? For me I know I would prefer to be multi faction where I can feel the very many sides to life, what do you prefer?
